Please wipe your slate clean of what you think you know about health. Most of what you know and think you know is misinformation. Let us together dismantle the myths of health that are killing us as a society.

We are lead to believe that germs and viruses cause disease.

And what should we do?

We should avoid or ‘kill’ the germs and maybe we can avoid the disease.

We are taught that illnesses like cancer and diabetes can just show up, for no good reason and that the only solution is medicine and surgery, if we’re lucky that is.

We don’t feel empowered about our health and we place it in the hands of experts and hope that when we get ill, they will be able to help us get healthy again and live for longer.

After all we don’t know what to do, so isn’t it a good thing that we have all these experts and drugs researchers out there to tell us what to do?

Well let me ask you a question: How many ‘wonder drugs’ that we’ve been taught were supposed to make us healthier – have not worked? How many of these have been promoted to us by the so called “experts”?

Listen, the ultimate expert on your life is YOU by testing what works; not by looking around and being like everybody else.

If you do what everybody else does, you’ll have what everybody else has – and do you know what that’s like for the general population? It’s not a pretty sight! One in two people dies of heart disease or diabetes! One in three dies of cancer!

We must think uniquely, we must think differently, we can’t just accept what’s being fed to everybody. We must become CRITICAL in our thinking!

And by the way, this is NOT an attack on the medical profession. Doctors care so much! They care immensely about human beings and they will give their heart and soul at the expense of their own health, emotions, or families to help other people recover from disease in the only way they know how.

We should feel compassion for doctors. Go and watch what a doctor has to do to make it through medical school. What a dehumanising process! It is unbelievable what they go through out of their desire to help others.

Medical school training is also an intentionally gruelling process, designed to physically push the weaker students over the edge.
They do this to make sure that as a doctor you will be able to take the pressure in a real life-or-death situation and that you won’t trip up. Perhaps the intentions are good, but its hardly a wholesome learning environment for the doctors!

Doctors in training are given more work than they could possibly do, and they learn early on to rely on all kinds of stimulants (ie, chemicals) to stay up late to study.

Medical School is an abusive, destructive, dehumanising process. Students have zero time to stop and say: Hey, does this make ANY sense?

On top of all that, the half-life of the current medical education is 4 years. This means that a doctor leaving school today knows 50% more about medicine than someone who left 4 years ago. With so many patients to see, doctors rarely have time to further their education.

How do doctors keep ‘up to date’?

So many new drugs come out every year – there’s no way for doctors to keep up. Hence doctors are primarily educated about new advances in medicine by the drug companies’ salesmen!

Of course, 70% of all drugs on the market today weren’t even around 15 years ago.
Someone has to educate them, and the pace at which all this is happening is amazing!

Dr. Jerry Avorn, a professor of medicine at the Harvard Medical School, states:
"Too often doctors get industry-sponsored sources of information that look like they are from unbiased, scientifically driven public interest groups when in fact they are thickly veiled marketing activities."

The Washington Post reports that a University of Washington study published in the
Journal of the American Medical Association confirms the insidious influence drug advertising brings to bear on perverting American medicine. For many doctors, drug
industry marketing is their prime source of information.

A series of studies have confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt that doctors are influenced more by the advertising for the drug than by the scientific literature. However when doctors are confronted, they are usually unaware or unwilling to admit that they’ve been influenced by non-scientific sources.

How Disease Occurs...

The content of this topic was extracted from the book
ReverseYour Diabetes Today - Book by Matt Traverso

" We don’t need medication; we need education."
—Dr. Robert O. Young

How Disease Occurs:

In a nutshell, disease occurs when people allow themselves to become “enervated”, that is, low in nerve energy. As a consequence, the organs of elimination fail to function normally and waste material accumulates in the body.
When this waste continues to build up, exceeding the body's toleration point, a crisis arises. The body, to offset this overabundance of poisonous matter, begins to react. The result of this reaction is what we call disease.

The human body is a marvellous creation, constantly burning fuel, eliminating waste material of combustion, and constantly rebuilding tissue by replacing dead cells with new ones.
Every seven years virtually every cell in your body is replaced, which means that over a seven year period several hundred pounds of dead cells must be eliminated. All by itself this would be a lot of waste which would require a lot of energy for your body to handle.
In addition, due to lack of rest, or lack of water, or just trying to digest the IMPOSSIBLE” (ie, junk food) – not to mention the damaging effects of just plain overeating – you create an enormous amount of waste products for your body to deal with.

As your body becomes overloaded with more than it can handle, there will be more toxins coming in than leaving.

The accumulation of toxins that occurs as your body can no longer remove them properly compromises your body’s integrity. This is because your body lacks of energy (“enervation”) to properly eliminate toxins. Remember, energy is required to eliminate toxins.

Disease is due to a ‘deficiency of force’ (that is, loss of nerve energy).
Dr Isaac Jennings

But no matter what happens, your body must preserve its vital organs (your brain and your heart) so one of the first things it shuts down is the process of elimination but unfortunately toxins begin to build up (“toxaemia”).

When your body becomes oversaturated with toxins, a safety valve opens to release toxinswhich may come out of any of the four elimination channels:
1. The skin;
2. The lungs and respiratory tract;
3. The bowels & colon; and
4. The urinary tract
This safety valve is called disease (your body’s attempts to throw off its toxins).

In fact all diseases are “healing crises”, i.e. an attempt on the part of the body to rid itself of toxin overload.

Disease is the manifestation of the body trying to heal itself.
It is the action of the body in eliminating poison. The resulting sickness or even death is an attempt of the body to expel the toxin.

Now let’s use our common sense If you took a poison and put it into your bloodstream, your body would respond by doing whatever it could to get it out of the body in the fastest way possible through any elimination channel available, to preserve the integrity of your system – coughing, throwing up, fever, acne, sweat, diarrhoea, etc.

Your body will use up every ounce of energy in its effort to get this poison out of the system. You might experience headaches, low energy, joint pains, inability to sleep, fatigue, kidney problems, convulsions, burping, irritations, etc.

Question: Do you know of any disease that does not have these as symptoms?

"Disease, in my opinion, how prejudicial whatsoever its causes may be to
the body, is no more than a vigorous effort of nature to throw off morbidic
matter and thus recover the patient."
—Thomas Shydenham, M.D

But instead of allowing the body to expel its toxins, we try to stop the process by taking some medicine, pushing the toxins back in. So, rather than supporting the process of cleansing, we call it a DISEASE and stop it as fast as possible! By suppressing the symptom, we actually interfere with the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Not only is the body struggling with an increasing load of the “normal” toxins, but now the body is being injured with even more toxins: the medicines that your pharmacist has in his arsenal of symptom-suppressive weapons.

We have all been so conditioned to think in terms of the dominant allopathic paradigm, that it is very difficult to wrap our brains around the idea that disease symptoms are actually the body’s attempt to heal itself.

In summary
·         The human body contains the power to heal itself (without medicine).
·         The basis of any state of disease is a build-up of retained toxins that the body didn’t manage to excrete through its 4 channels of elimination.
·         The reason the body isn’t able to properly detoxify itself is a lack of vital energy (“enervation”) due to stress, unhealthy lifestyle and/or wrong treatment of the body (particularly through wrong food choices, overeating, toxin intake including medicinal drugs etc.).
·         What we call disease is actually the body trying to purge itself of toxins – your body’s attempts to right itself (the most common actions being fever, mucus, eruptions, coughing, vomiting, inflammation among others).
·         To give drugs is adding to the causes of disease; for drugs always produce disease because medicines are poisons (acids) to the human body and are harmful.

The ultimate cause of mankind's many so-called diseases begins in those activities that drain our body of life force — the enervating habits of mind and body. Consequently the ULTIMATE SOLUTION for our diseases is A CORRECTION OF THE HABITS OF LIFE.

There are no “magic bullets”(drugs) when it comes to achieving good health.

Optimum health is the result of observing a series of simple natural laws making right decisions day after beautiful day.

Facts about our Digestive System

Important Facts about our Digestive System

§  The digestive system is responsible for breaking down food we eat into smaller components so that nutrients can be easily absorbed by the body and the waste discarded.
§  There are two types of digestion. Mechanical digestion is the physical breakdown of large pieces of food into smaller pieces through, chewing (mastication). While chemical digestion uses enzymes to break down this food mass further into small molecules which the body can separate and use.
§  Saliva in our mouths plays a key role in initial digestion by moistening the food to help with the mechanical chewing and swallowing process. Saliva also contains an enzyme which starts the chemical digestion of starchy foods.
§  Our salivary glands produce around 1.5 liters of saliva each day!
§  Bolus is the name of the small round slurry mass produced for swallowing as a result of chewing and starch digestion.
§  The pharynx, at the back of the throat, has a flap of tissue called the epiglottis that closes during swallowing to prevent food going down the trachea (windpipe).
§  Once swallowed, bolus (food) travels down through the oesophagus to the stomach, taking about 7 seconds to get there.
§  Muscles in the oesophagus tighten and relax to create a wave-like process called peristalsis which pushes food down the small tube, which is why your food never falls back out if you happen to be eating and swallowing upside down!
§  Enzymes called proteases break down proteins within the stomach and small intestine. While in saliva, amylases break down carbohydrates and lipases break down fats.
§  The adult stomach has a very small volume when empty but can expand to hold up to 1.5 liters of food when full.
§  The inner wall of the stomach secretes hydrochloric acid to help kill bacteria and, along with proteases enzymes, aids in the digestion of food. To protect itself from the corrosive acid, the stomach lining must create a thick coating of mucus.
§  Stomach rumblings (borborygmi) are caused by wave-like muscular contractions (peristalsis) at the walls of the stomach and small intestine. These are normal digestion movements, however the process is louder and more noticeable when the stomach is empty as the sound is not muffled.
§  Some animals such as cows, giraffes and deer have stomachs with multiple compartments (not multiple stomachs as is commonly believed). While others like seahorses, lungfishes and platypuses have no stomachs at all.
§  The small intestine is composed of a duodenum, jejunum, and ileum.
§  Most of the digestion and absorption of food nutrients actually takes place in the small intestine. The stomach passes on a thick liquid called chyme and enzymes continue to break this down in the small intestine which absorbs the nutrients into the blood stream.

§  The pancreas secretes enzymes for use by the small intestine.
§  On average, the human adult male's small intestine is 6.9 m (22 ft 6 in) long, and the female's 7.1 m (23 ft 4 in).
§  The large intestine includes the cecum, appendix, colon, and rectum. It is the final part of the digestive system. It absorbs water from the remaining indigestible food matter, and passes any un-needed waste from the body.
§  The large intestine is approximately 1.5 m (4.9 ft) long.
§  The liver produces bile for the digestive system and processes the nutrients.
§  The gall bladder stores the bile used to break down dietary fat.

§  Your digestive system has its own little "mini-brain."

Produce Insulin naturally

Produce Insulin naturally

The word insulin comes from the Latin insula, which means "island". This is a hormone secreted by the pancreas which is involved in the metabolic process of absorption of nutrients, especially of carbohydrates (sugars). When insulin is not secreted enough for the body, it causes what is known asdiabetes mellitus, when there is excess insulin in the body generates what is known ashyperinsulinism with hypoglycemia.

Diabetes mellitus is a condition characterized by high levels of blood glucose (hyperglycemia) and which affects different organs and tissues. This condition, as explained, is a major cause of low production of the hormone insulin, or the improper use by the body, which affects the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. The main symptoms of diabetes are excessive emission of urine, abnormal increase in the need to eat and thirst, in addition to weight loss with no apparent reason. Diabetes mellitus is classified as diabetes type I, II and gestational.

Injecting Insulin is the solution?

Usually, when diabetes mellitus is detected, the used solution is to inject insulin for long-term treatment of diabetes both type one or two. Insulin injection is used to control and level the blood sugar in people who do not produce insulin and whose body cannot control the level of blood sugar (diabetes type I), and also in people who have too high the level of sugar because the body does not produce enough insulin or body does not use it properly (type II diabetes).
Insulin injection is classified as a hormonal drug, and is used to replace the insulin that the body should produce naturally; it must be injected several times a day according to the medical indication.

How to heal and restore pancreatic insulin production naturally

The body has an extraordinary self-healing capacity; you can reorganize, rebuild and heal by it by given the necessary elements. Any illness is just the conclusion of a series of imbalances and cumulative toxicity in the body, but it can return to harmony and health if we consider new attitudes.
Beyond the decision made on how to cure this disease, we must take into account that the less dependent the body is to drugs, the stronger it is if you give it the elements for healing. The drug often weakens the body capacity to answer by itself, making it chemical dependent, increasing side effects that can generate and impair other organs and tissues in its action, and weaken the immune system.
It is important to appreciate that true healing comes not through medication but a conscious action. Cure means harmonizing, strengthen and rehabilitate the normal body functions. In the case of diabetes, you should deeply heal damaged tissues and organs as the pancreas, and must nourish the body in general, both physically and energetically.
It is essential to follow a cleansing diet, which remove harmful toxins and fat accumulated in the body which only get it sick and weak. Avoid all products fully refined, processed and sugary foods (sodas, cookies, bread, refined, sweet, etc.), all white flour, fried foods, and red meats. It is essential to include vegetables in your diet, pure water, fruit juices (avoid mixing fruits with food, they should be taken on an empty stomach and wait half an hour to have been digested).

Natural Insulin

Insulin is a hormone that allows cells to have the necessary supply of glucose for synthesis processes that require energy expenditure. Through a process called glycolysis and cellular respiration is obtained glucose, the energy in the form of ATP.
Its main effects are:
  • Stimulates glucosamine and inhibits glycolysis and gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis.
  • Promotes the synthesis of triglycerides.
  • It stimulates the synthesis of fatty acids.
  • Stimulates protein synthesis.
To help the body restore normal insulin production is needed to support the following natural remedies:
Aloe juice or cactus: One of the best ways to heal the pancreas and help restore proper insulin production is to take aloe juice or cactus. It is recommended to take while fasting mixed with a squeezed lemon juice. Cactus juice is made from half a nopal cactus or a small one, and two lemons with peel. Wash lemons, split and add to the blender with a glass and a half of water. Liquefy a few seconds. Strain this water and now liquefy cactus. It should be taken without sugar or honey, preferably on an empty stomach, without eating anything else until within 15 minutes.

The birdseed: is one of the most beneficial and curative seeds for diabetes. You should prepare daily birdseed milk, by soaking 5 tablespoons this oil in a liter of water. Let it soak overnight and in morning throw the soaking water and wash well with water the birdseed. Then, you put it in a liter of clean water and strain it. Drink this water throughout the day.

The nettle and sage root tea: are great for lowering high blood sugar. Mix a tablespoon of fresh sage in a cup of boiling water, boil for 3 minutes, let stand 5 minutes, strain and drink immediately. In the case of nettle, boil in water, simmer for a few minutes and then remove from heat and strain.

Artichokes: excellent remedy for sugar level and to heal pancreas. You can prepare fresh artichokes either in salad or boiled with lemon and a pinch of salt and olive oil. You can also buy artichoke pills but you have to make sure they are quality.

The optimal vegetables to strengthen and heal the body in general are: garlic (you should take a clove of raw garlic or fasting during the day), fresh onion, asparagus, carrots, alfalfa, sprouts and seeds like flax, sesame.

Other herbs that are very effective to help heal diabetes are: fenugreek, Jamaican flower and ginseng.

Pumpkin seeds: are also remedies to help lower blood sugar levels in the blood.

How to Take Care of Your Pancreas

Take Care of Your Pancreas

Behind the stomach, located on the left side of the body, we have a gland which is responsible for producing certain digestive juices, in addition to insulin, an important hormone that regulates the storage of nutrients. Pancreas is an essential gland for life and has both endocrine (produces hormones such as insulin, which regulates the level of blood sugar and glucagon, which down the sugar) and exocrine (that makes pancreatic juice, a liquid composed of water, bicarbonate, and numerous digestive enzymes that play a vital role in digestion of food) features.

When the pancreas is weak, we may be suffering various conditions such as high blood sugar levels (diabetes), pancreatitis, and more.

What damages the pancreas?

  • Animal fats, especially cow's milk and red meat are harmful to the health of the pancreas. Also refined products, sausages and fried.
  • Foods with added chemicals (such as preservatives, colorings, additives, etc.), and refined products (sugar, flour, etc.) block many vital body functions, and damage the functions of the pancreas.
  • Smoking
  • Drinking alcohol
  • Anger, frustration and disappointment are emotions that influence the malfunction of the pancreas.

Take care and heal your pancreas

The health is very easy to obtain and maintain if you consider certain habits every day. Here are some natural habits that will help you heal pancreas:
  • Avoid animal fats and fried foods, your diet should be based on steamed vegetables, whole grains, brown sugar or honey, and substitute animal milk for vegetable milks. Avoid highly fermented cheese and products with additives and colorings.
  • Take a daily fasting tablespoon of olive oil extra-virgin and immediately drink a glass of warm water with a squeezed lemon.
  • Make physical activity like yoga or tai chi to maintain good circulation of oxygen and nutrients throughout your body and invigorate the functions of organs such as the pancreas.
  • Drink two liters daily of pure water (avoid sugary drinks or colored).
  • Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol and heavily contaminated sites, which are irritating to the pancreas.
  • Stay at your ideal weight, overweight wears terribly your whole body functions.

In cases of severe pain, inflammation or diseases of the pancreas:

  • Make a cleansing diet for two days. This diet is to eat a specific fruit every day, you can choose either pineapple, grapes or oranges, but eat the same fruit for two days. Eat them for two days with two liters of water, starting the day fasting with two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
  • Make a cleansing diet when you have some days to rest to avoid stress, rush, irritations, etc.
  • Once you finish the diet, start your day by drinking warm water with lemon and a teaspoon fasting of olive oil, and follow all the general recommendations above until you heal your pancreas. It is very important, above all, to avoid sugar and refined flour, which only fool the body's metabolism.

  • Eat a piece of fresh ginger in the lunch, wash well, and you can eat it whole. This is a great natural remedy to heal the pancreas.
  • The aloe juice will help to revitalize the damaged cells of the pancreas, to heal and stay healthy. Drink a cup of aloe juice daily at breakfast time or lunch.
  • If you have severe pain, green clay poultice is ideal. Mix clay with hot water and make a soft dough, place on top of your abdomen at the level of the pancreas.
  • Take these foods as supplements: yeast, artichoke, horsetail tea at night, celery, onion, garlic, blueberries, all citrus, milk and vegetable seeds.
  • Eat slowly, avoid stress and hurry. Meals should be light, about five a day, but with the right combination of foods.
  • Review how you feel, because what you feel noticeably affects the functioning of your body.
  • Avoid indigestion and poor food combination, avoid combining any sweet food with meals, as the sugar ferments and creates alcohol. Desserts should be eaten an hour after eating.
